Moved again!

Yes we moved again! I’m a little late updating all this but we moved on October 13. Actually it was Friday the 13th and the worst moved I’ve ever did. Why you ask? Well I got the stomach flu about two hours into a 9 hour drive from Kansas City to Fargo ND, Pulling my cargo trailer with the kiddos and dogs. Yes they all could of rode with their dad but nope. I had the DVD players, lol and they wanted their dogs 🐶 So it was horrible because I managed to wait to throw up ever time we stopped for gas and somehow I made it to a bathroom each time. Then I got a migraine from that which blurred my vision. It was ridiculous. Anyways we made it. I literally stared at the back of our fifth wheel in front of me the whole time and never looked at any scenery which is a great part of moving because it made my head pound worse to look around. We got there right when it was getting dark and we got to the to park and that was it. Couldn’t make it. Just pulled over and at least I had a bag. 🤢My husband had no idea where I went, lol. But I soon pulled up, helped him park straight. Threw up in the new yard (at least it was dark because the new neighbors would of been like hmmm😟lol) then went inside put the slid outs out, kind of moved things to normal then just sat but a toilet and heater for two hours before going to bed. I really don’t know if it was the stomach flu or food poisoning because I did eat some gas station chicken wings before I got the symptoms. So yeah that was crazy. But I’m still alive 👍 Here are some photos of before the chicken wings 😬

Here is our yard. We actually live in Minnesota but it’s like five miles from Fargo ND. Any yes it snow like a few days after we got there. Went from 75 in KC to 28 in Minnesota 😱 But the kids love snow ❄️

We have a park and ice skating rink next to our rv park so that’s exciting.

The temple in Independence MO

There is an amazing Temple here in Independence. Looks like a huge seashell. Went went a few weeks ago to their organ service on Sunday and it was amazing. They have public prayer 🙏 for the world everyday at 1:00. They also have a labyrinth maze to walk in. It was great.

Pioneer trails museum in Independence MO and visiting with family!

Since we are living in Independence MO we went to the pioneer trails museum. I remember learning about the Oregon trail, California trail and Santa Fe trail when I was a child so I thought it would be a great learning experience for the girls. I learned why all the trails started here in Independence it was because this was the last westward town all the way till their destinations in Oregon, California or Santa Fe which took 4-6 months to walk, ride a horse or sit in a wagon. I bought a book in the gift shop that was a page turner. I read it in a few days and recommended it to anyone probably 3rd grade and up for more info on the trails. It was the Donner party I read about called All We Left Behind. It was very interesting to learn how they actually traveled and mistakes that were made ending them up stuck in the snowy mountains for months starving.

They also have wagon rides pulled by mules that take you through some trails and the tour guide tells you more history.

We had some family come down that weekend so the girls went swimming in their hotel pool and they played all day.

A sweet tea place in KS, the Oklahoma state fair and Aquarium!

Here is a sweet little gem we found in coffeyville KS. It’s called Garden Thyme tea room and they have the yummiest lunch!  It’s in a old house and all the rooms are themed and cute!  The first time we went the girls got grilled cheese and tomato soup. I got the seasonal grilled cheese with wild rice soup. Both came with veggie chips and a pickle. This grilled cheese was amazing. It had cheddar, sliced apples and apple butter in it!  My youngest daughter actually ate all my wild rice soup so I took her yummy creamy tomato soup. Lol. The second time we went was for Gracie’s 9th birthday and we did the High Tea. They served us a yummy gingerbread tea in real tea cups and saucers and then we got a huge tower of yummy little sandwiches and desserts. It was a great place to go!We also we to the Oklahoma state fair. It was huge with every ride and food you can think of. We loved the nursery building where you went it and saw baby animals being born all day! It was amazing. Kinsley almost ordered her cheese pizza with scorpions on it because we thought it was a joke but nope. They really put those and crickets and worms on pizza! We played some games, won some toys and check out the exhibits. But didn’t ride any rides.

We also did the aquarium for Gracie’s birthday. It was a lot of fun with the touch tanks!
