Here are one of the gifts I made with my 3 yr old for our family. These gifts are so much fun for kids to help with. Everyone loves mixes. I know I do. It’s nice to have at home for a quick easy dinner or dessert. Here is this recipe I found at www.recipegoldmine.com
Heres the recipe if you would like it
Texas Two-Step Soup
1 Pk brown gravy 2 tbsp mild red chili powder ( I used normal red chili powder)
2 tsp dried oregano leaves 1 tsp ground cumin 1 tsp dried minced onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt 10-12 regular size tortilla chips crushed 1-14 cups uncooked med. pasta (wheels, shells, mac)
Pour Gravy into jar. Mix spices and pour into jar to make 2nd layer. Then add layers of tortilla chips and pasta to fill the jar. Seal with lid. Then add tag for jar.
Gift tag:
Brown 1/2 lb ground beef in large sauce pan. Add Jar mix and 7 cups of water; heat to boiling. Stir in 1 can of corn with green and red bell pepper and 1 can chopped tomatoes. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 20-25 min. or until pasta is tender, stirring occasionally. Serve with crushed tortillas and Monterey jack cheese. I got this recipe from www.recipegoldmine.com
